Omg... I just said "DH" to my boss!

So my boss was venting to me about her husband... and when I went to tell her that my husband does the exact same thing... I said "DH"!!! I didn't even notice I said it and I kept talking. Then after I finished she was like.. "Who is DH"? I didnt know what to say so I just said.. "Oh.. its a nickname that I call my husband. Sorry about that!"

I left the room before she asked any more questions. hahaha I know it wouldnt have clued her in that I'm TTC... but she put me on the spot and I didn't know how to react! I don't know what information she wouldve got outta me if I stayed!! haha

Has this happened to anyone else??

Yes, I've totally done this. However, I didn't get the full "DH" out of my mouth....it was more like "Deeee..."

I have never done this, but don't feel like you have to out yourself with regard to TTC if you explain what DH is -- virtually all message boards use this abbreviation.

Very true.. and thats why I said that she wouldnt have known I was TTC.  But I'm not very good under pressure.  I tend to just spurt out information.  It's easy to tell if I'm lying or making up a story on the spot.  Thats why Ieft. To save myself from... myself. haha

Some of my coworkers already suspect that I am TTC... been married for almost 2 and a half years.. ya know.  They ask me all the time.. and its starting to bother me.  I just dont want to give them something to talk about.

No, this has never happened to me. I also don't see how this would reveal you are TTC unless you decided to spill your guts. DH is a common term on the interwebs, as PP mentioned.

It was just a funny story. I know it wouldnt have told her I was TTC.

I haven't done this...yet.  But I expect it to happen any day.
