I really think Jude is getting ready to cut a tooth. He has turned into a fussy drool monster, he is chomping on everything, he's slightly congested, keeps waking up crying in the middle of the night, and I think I can feel a slight bump on his lower gums. This morning, he was crying and pulling on his ear. I haven't noticed him doing it since, but could this also be a sign of teething? He isn't running a fever or anything, but didn't know if I should get him in to the pedi in case it is an ear infection.
Re: Could ear pulling be a sign of teething?
I'd run your fingers over the gums in search of ridges that indicate here comes a tooth.
I wouldn't worry about the ear pulling, it can be teething, it can just be that baby figured out they have ears there. Unless baby starts to act grumpy, I wouldn't worry.
Snotty nose, however, doesn't have anything to do with teething in my experience.
E always gets snotty when he is teething... it is clear, but he does get very mucousy!
