Richmond Univ. Hosp. in Staten Island
My ob/gyn is affiliated with Richmond Univ Hosp in Staten Island. I would like to hear any experiences giving birth there. I toured the maternity department but couldn't see too much because they were having a busy day.

I cannot tell you... I work there, but did not deliver in this area. only moved here about 18 months ago. a colleague of mine swears they have the best nicu on the island. she's delivered both of her girls there with great experiences. she also works there. I know a doctor doing his fellowship in OB/GYN there... he's awesome. I'd let him deliver mine. that's really all I know.
all I know about SIUH is that someone on 24+ board had some complaints and asked my opinion on the situation. basically an issue with the OB... not necessarily the staff. I really do not know enough to form an opinion either way.
