I just saw your reply asking about the Sony Reader.  So far I love it!  I really don't miss holding a book at all.  When you are done reading it automatically holds your spot so you just select "continue reading" and it goes right to where it left off.

I can buy books from the Sony Reader store, it seems like they are around $5-$10 depending on the book.  I can also buy books to download from Barnes & Noble and Borders.  I can download free books from google and download/check-out e-books from my local library.

The other nice thing is that you can share books with friends that have the Reader.  None of my friends have it but I think it is a cool feature.  DH also bought me the "touch" one which is really nice.  It also does photos and play MP3s.  It will also read audio books to you.
