"My hair hurts" What does this mean?

What does it mean when DD says, "My hair hurts."

Re: "My hair hurts" What does this mean?

  • I'm just guessing but I think it might mean she has a headache.

Unless she has a ponytail in and in which case, it might be too tight!  :)

  • When I was a kid, that meant that I had a fever and/or was getting sick.  My skin would get really sensitive, particularly my scalp.

  • DD says that when her hair has been a a ponytail (or ponytails) too long.

  • The ponytail thing.....when I was younger, I'd say that because my pony was too tight, or if it was in a pony and hadn't been for several days prior...really my scalp hurt.

that is, if it is in a ponytail....if not, I have no clue!

  • my daughter was explain gher ear infection that way last week. she said 'my head hurts inside my hair"
  • I have very thick hair and my hair sometimes hurts.  Usually its if I havne't washed it in a day or two :)  I would try washing her hair and brushing it out and see if that makes her better.
