For a while now we've been using a breathable bumper in Jake's crib. Lately though, he's been scooting all around in there (not quite sure how he does it though, since he's never done anything like that while he's awake) and banging his head up against the rails. It wakes him up in the middle of the night and I'll just go in there and move him and he'll go right back to sleep. I'm toying with the idea of putting his regular bumper back on. WDYT?

Would you be comfortable with a regular bumper in the crib? I know a lot moms on this board are anti bumper (or at least anti regular bumper.) I've had a regular bumper in the crib from day one and we've never had an issue. Dd moves all over at night and at her age I'm not worried about her suffocating from the bumper. I am worried about her bumping her head and getting her limbs stuck in the slats of the crib if there wasn't a bumper. Of all of the things I DO worry about a bumper in the crib has never been high on my list. I know I'm a minority but I'm sure I have some other weird worry that most people don't have:-)

Yup, this, my DD had them from day one to just last week when she switched to a toddler bed. And actually she loved to snuggle against the bumper at night, freaked me out at first but she was fine.
