Ok this is new to me and not sure what it is, this is how I feel, like I have to move my legs ( and arms for that matter) Its always when I am trying to go to sleep. Anyone else with this and anyone who has any recommendations? TIA.
Ive had this in both of my pregnancies. It's defenitely awful. I found that if I stand on a step, and let my heels drop to get a really good stretch in my calf muscles, it really helps. Also just stretching period helps, like while watching a movie or something. I know there is medication you can take...ask your OB...but I never did just because I wanted to stay away from meds unless completely necessary. Good news is once you deliver it goes away!
The OB told me to drink lots of water and try to do a lot of standing/walking activity during the day and that should help.
For what it's worth I've walked on the treadmill for about 30 minutes the past 2 days in the morning + normal activity during the day and the last couple days I haven't noticed the RLS too badly.
Ditto to the drinking lots of water and stretching. Mine has gotten a lot worse in the past couple of days- it's the worst feeling. I do yoga and cardio and I do think exercise helps, but I still get it as I did when I was pg w/ my DD. The other new trick I have is taking a nice warm bath- this totally saved me last night.

I'm so glad you posted this ... I thought I was losing my mind! This happens to me all the time at night! I started to think I had the disorder 'restless legs' or something. Glad to know that it seems like it's pregnancy related ... and my pregnancy will be over next week!
