My FFC re: yesterday in L&D

I'm kind of pissed at my doctor. She told us we'd be having a baby and go to L&D and she'd call and let them know we were on the way. I wasn't even having regular contractions, but she told me I was 3cm and needed to go. She said to call DH and have him leave work.

I was there all day just to get sent home. DH used up a vacation day (that he's been saving for when the baby arrives). The nurses kind of acted like I was crazy for being there after I didn't dilate any further after 2 hours of walking (though I did get more effaced).

That's all. I'm just irritated that she made it seem like a sure thing at my appointment.

I'd be upset as well...that's not cool to get your hopes up like that.

I thought it sounded kind of odd that she sent you, but I assumed she was going to induce you or do whatever they do to move things alone. Sorry you got sent home, that sucks.

I was surprised she sent me too! She even said, "if you don't have your baby tonight, then I'll be the one delivering you since I'm on call tomorrow!"

That sucks! Nothing is worse then toyin' with a pregnant woman's emotions especially when she is due any time and looking forward to meeting her baby. WTH Dr.? Here is a dose of labor dust to you and hopefully things will really get moving.

Ohhhhh, I'd be highly irritated.  I don't think this is flameful at all.  I think anyone in that position would be peeved!

Wow!  I'd be really upset!  My doctor told me yeataurday that he's guessing I'll have mine in 3 weeks- how is he guessing this??  I'm super excited and hope he's correct cause I'm so ready- but at the same time I'm a little scared to get my hopes up on his 'guess'.  How is he gathering this info??
