NBR: Would you buy a mattress online?

DH and I are in the market for a new mattress. I found some good deals on Overstock.com.  If you couldn't find the mattress in person to test out first, would you buy online?

Online shopping makes me nervous.

If reviews were available for the mattress (and of course, they were all good), then yeah, I would do it.

Yeah as long as you can find it in person, if you can save money on line do it!  on overstock has cheap shipping!

I couldn't buy it online without testing it first.  It's too important of an item and you'll be stuck with it for 10 years.

No, only b/c DH and I have different ideas of comfort, so we had to try several before we found one we both liked. But, if we could find it online after testing it we would definitely do it online.

Like others have said, if I could test it out first and order the exact same mattress cheaper online and it had a return policy, I would. I would never buy a mattress I couldn't return if I wasn't satisfied because a comfy mattress is a must in my book. We bought the baby's mattress online but it was from Costco and we could return it to Costco if need be.

I would if I could find it at a store and check it out in person.  Try and find out if it's at Macy's, Rooms to Go, etc., feel it, then order it on overstock.  GL!

we bought ours online. It had good reviews. We got ours from costco

I did and I regretted it for 5 years, until we moved into a house with a guest room (so the mattress got rehomed as the guest bed). Then we went out shopping and picked out a new mattress IN PERSON. I'll never make that mistake again.

I did, the mattress had rave reviews so I had no concerns.
