Who wants to see my name letters?? PIPs

I just finished the name letter's to hang on the wall in the baby's room.  I lined them up on the back of the dresser so we could see what they'll look like with the purple walls.  Obviously, this is not their permanent location!

Thanks! Actually, I am a horrible painter and really craft impaired in general.  I bought scrapbook paper and traced the letters onto the back of the paper, cut them out, and glued the paper onto the letters.  Kind of like wallpaper, lol.  Then I glued some decorations onto them to add a little texture.

  • SO cute! Great job.
  • I love them!  We are thinking of doing our nursery in Purple as well, what color did  you use!  Me and my DH went to Lowes last weekend and came home with about 8 different swatches and have yet to make a decision!

I knew right away that if I was having a girl I wanted to paint purple!  DH and I brought home swatches from Lowes, Home Depot and Sherwin Williams. We ended up chosing "Purple Phantom" from Lowes.  I really like it.  I didn't want a light "baby" purple.  I wanted a brave color that clearly said we painted it purple intentionally.  Wink

I got the letters and everything else I used from Hobby Lobby.  The letters are on sale right now for 50% off.  They're regular $2.99 each so, they were just $1.50.

Oh those are neat ideas!  They came out wonderfully and go great with the room color!

  • So cute!  How do you plan to hang them?  with what?

The letters have cut outs on the back so they can be easily hung with nails, like a picture frame sort of, where the nails won't show at all.  I wanted to hang them with ribbon, but there's nothing to tie the ribbon to and I'm feeling too lazy to figure out how to do that and go to the extra effort.

Nope, I'm not good with paint.  I just covered them with scrapbook paper.
