Absolutely! You can freeze any banana as long as there's no peel left on them and they aren't too soft (if they're really mashed or really brown you might want to throw them out as the texture isn't great when you defrost them).

yes as long as they don't have spit in/on them
they just get really watery when you defrost them
yes, if you want to use them for baking later (i.e. banana bread)
if they aren't over ripe, i love dipping them in chocolate and freezing them like they have at Disneyland
