Question about "frozen" cookie dough

So, I ordered some cookie dough from a neighbor's kid, you know how it goes, you can't say no even though you know you really don't want a vat of cookie dough...anywhoo...my husband was home when it was delivered and he didn't notice it said "keep frozen" and he stuck it in the fridge.  It was maybe in there for about three hours or so until I got home and immediately put it in the freezer.  It's okay to use, right?  I know it seems like a dumb question but I certainly don't want to sicken anyone with my "homemade"  cookies.

Thanks!

Re: Question about "frozen" cookie dough

  • Totally okay. It woudln't have defrosted at all in 3 hours int eh fridge.
  • If it is a solid tub of dough it should still be totally frozen being in the fridge only 3 hours.  If it was a tub of individual cookies (my favorite type) then the top ones might have been thawed...but I'd personally still not worry about it.

  • Oh yeah... our tubs were allowed to be left at the school (stored in the gym, not refridgerated or frozen) until the end of the day when we picked them up. They're fine.
