3rd Trimester

Shoot. What the heck goes in my hospital bag?

I have all of my toiletries -shampoo, conditioner, deoderant, toothpaste, toothbrush, glasses, contacts, makeup remover, makeup, hairdryer.

For clothes to wear home I'm bringing yoga pants, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt.

I'm bringing LO a footed sleeper, a hat, and a warm coverall to wear home.

I'll bring my pillow.

What am I forgetting?

  • Your own PJs to wear in the hospital (if you want them. I brought them last time and never wore them).

If you're BF, you might want a sleeping nursing bra. They are super comfy and kinda support the girls under the hosptial gown when you have guests visiting. I wore mine the whole time. Got them at Motherhood Maternity.

  • Bathrobe, nursing tanks, and nursing bras.
  • I just packed mine yesterday and here's what I packed:

    Basic toiletries

Towel for the shower (I've heard hospital ones suck)

PJ's for the hospital (flannel pants w/ button up top that I can wear a nursing tank under)

    Nursing tank & nursing bra

Outfit for going home (yoga pants, long sleeved Tshirt, zip up hoodie)

    Socks

Undies (I'll probably use the hospital ones, but just in case)

Camera, battery charger, cord for the computer

    Change for the vending machine

    Boppy pillow

I also have a list packed for last-minute items (laptop, basic makeup, hairbrush, pillow, etc.)

The diaper bag is packed with 2 outfits for LO (NB size and 0-3 month size) blanket, binkie, diapers/wipes, socks, mittens, hat, nursing pads, nipple cream

  • You might also want to pack some extra heavy flow pads.  I've heard that the ones the hospital hands out can be extra bulky.
