Anniston is fine but I think Anna is a beautiful name on it's own. If you're going to call her Anna, why not just name her Anna?

If it's too "traditional" for a full name why would it not be too traditional for a nickname? Sorry, I don't understand. 

I am not really a fan of traditional names either though....Anniston is fine or what about Annika? Or Savannah?

Actress Chyler Leigh just named her girl this. I rather like it, but don't like Anna as much.

i know - doesnt make sense. I like both names - just not totally sold on either - guess thats why im wishy washy about it all. :P

Anniston is a city in my state. I know there are a lot of names that are places, but I just don't like this one. It just doesn't sound girly to me.

It just reminds me of Jennifer Anniston.  Although I am a huge fan of friends but I wouldn't name my child that.

Ditto. Anna is a gorgeous stand alone name.

Anna is very ordinary and plain.  I agree - it's pretty  - but imagine a teacher in elementary school saying, "Anna?  Do you know the answer?" and 4 different Anna's look up.  It's not unique!!

Anniston is unique.  In a few years Jennifer Aniston will not be around and so I wouldn't worry about that part.  That being said, I prefer one "n", as in Aniston.
