My building is doing flu shots today, and I'm torn on whether I want to get one or not. I have never gotten one before. I haven't had the flu since I was a kid. I just don't get sick (knock on wood). I don't really expose myself (haha) or my baby to very many people other than my workmates or Cole's DCP. So my question is, do you think it's worth it this far into flu season to get a flu shot?
I HAVE CHILDREN.
Re: Should I get a flu shot?
I'm like you. Never got the flu, never got the shot (until I was pregnant).
BUT.
Because my baby is too young to get her own shot (as is yours), and because she's in day care (as is yours), I absolutely got the shot. No question in mind.
I also got the H1N1 shot, but I know that's more controversial.
DH and I got the flu vaccine, the spray mist, and neither of us have been sick yet. Thankfully. I haven't had one in years but I decided to this year for the sake of everything thats going around and mainly for LO.
You should get one.
This.
