PSA: Infant CPR

If you haven't gotten certified I highly recommend it.  I'm lucky enough that my office does a full complimentary AED/CPR training class every 2 years for employees and I just got my new cert in the mail. We go through adult, child and infant and its really great to have a refresher just in case you ever need to use it.

  • I want to but don't know how to go about finding one in my area.
  • I shudder at the thought of needing to use it but highly agree with the need to be certified! Childrens Hospitals offer it for free to any parent/grandparent of a child using their services.

  • Just a note: I used to lifeguard in college, and I know they're constantly updating best practices.  So just because you were certified back in the day doesn't mean you shouldn't re-certify: you may learn some helpful new tips!

This exactly.  And they offer online certifications through a video course now but hands on is really the best.

  • My mom and I took a class while I was pregnant.  And my husband is a cop so he gets certified every year.  I just hope we never have to use it.
