Yes, at almost 6 1/2 months we've still been swaddling. DS can roll over, but had never done it in his bed until last night. When I found him on his tummy 3 times. I'm nervous since the swaddle has been our biggest sleep cue - nighttime will be hard, but I'm afraid our new (and wonderful) naptime is going to be a disaster. Wish me luck.
Anyone go cold turkey with the swaddle? Any tips?
Re: wish us luck - cold turkey on swaddling
Good luck! I'm afraid we are in that same place. She's never rolled over in the swaddle, but last night we left one arm out and she was awake screaming sort of on her side at midnight. I got up, reswaddled her with both arms in and she was starting to wake a little after 4 which is ridiculously early for her.
I'm not ready for this.

We went cold turkey with swaddle AND we moved him into the crib (from bassinet) the same night. We had no problems at all...in fact, he's been sleeping better ever since!
Good luck!!

Ooh - that's a great idea! It's nice to have that in my back pocket if I need it. Thanks!

We stopped swaddling cold turkey and had no issues. They just went to sleep. We kept everything else about the routine the same.
Good luck. I hope he surprises you (in a good way)!
