Re: Soap

  • DS is not home yet but I took the bottle of calstat  that was in my hospital room (I paid enough for the room to take a souvenir) and will require anyone going to hold him to use it before they do.

For regular hand soap, I just buy soft soap in a hand pump.

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • We just have some antibacterial hand soap from by our kitchen and bathroom sinks.  We have signs on our two doors (front & garage-to-kitchen) that ask people to wash their hands.  I got them through the Synagis website - https://www.synagis.com/rsv-protection.aspx

It looks like they might not be giving out the door signs anymore, but maybe a stroller tag instead?

You are a stronger woman than I. That stuff gives me a PTSD attack everytime I smell it!!

     Any kind of soap works.

  • I had people wash their hands for 20 seconds when they entered the house and then I had hand sanitizer near by,  I used softsoap, but anything is fine.

  • I have the signs. We use any soap. The key is that they wash for 20 seconds at least and wash the entire hand- not just the palms :)
  • I use regular soft soap and everyone must wash their hands before they hold DD. Even if they just go and pick something off the floor I ask them to wash their hands again and I put a receiving blanket on their clothes while they hold her so she doesn't get irritated.
