What are your must have items for a 6-9 month old?

Trying to come up with gift ideas for the grandparents and don't really know what I'll need. So far I have the fp ss highchair, personalized bean bag from PBK, and a baby gate. Might also ask for a britax but would like some more "fun" stuff. Any suggestions....fun or practical. Thanks!

I second the activity table...Brady loved his! He also liked his shape sorter. Not that he could sort anything at that age, but he just liked to take the top off and then put the pieces in and out. When he was closer to 9 months we also got him a push along toy to help him learn to walk.

When family asked for Elizabeth's list, we gave them: bath toys, more board books, an activity table and toy cell phones/remotes since she's absolutely obsessed with the real things!

This is the best activity table. Bennett just cruised and cruised around this thing! Now that he's more independent, I've taken off the seat and the just walks around it on his own.

If you don't already have them:

Bumkin's Super Bibs and Munchkin soft-tip feeding spoons. They're inexpensive gifts, (good sock stuffers too), but will make a huge difference for ya'.

The bibs are really easy to wipe off, once you do solids, and the spoons are deep enough to hold food it and actually get IN their mouth.
