I had my first pregnancy meltdown

So at work today I was accidentally exposed to xrays.  The girl who did it obviously didn't know I was pregnant, and I didn't want to make a big deal about the fact that she just fried my baby...so I held back the tears, excused myself to the bathroom and had a small meltdown.

Oh pregnancy hormones....

Keep in mind that some people have xrays while pregnant and while they aren't ideal to have done, you and your LO should be okay.

I know.  And once the sane person that used to inhabit my body took over, I reminded myself of this and went on my merry way.

I had chest x-rays last week. I didn't want to, but I didn't have a choice in the situation. they said once was a very low risk!!!

You should wear one of those lead vests around the office all day!

Im an xray tech. I also was exposed before I knew I was pg. All of us have. Its a very very low dose and a very small risk. Stay away from the CT scanner though.
