Pathetic first internal exam

I just returned from my first internal, -3, not even dialated, and 25% effaced.  She does not sound like she is in any hurry to make an early exit.

Doesn't sound too terrible! At least something is going on! You never know when your little girl will decide it is time to meet mommy and daddy! Hoping it is sooner than later

A LOT can happen in 2.5 weeks! It could happen all at once....so keep your head up. Most importantly you want her to come when she's ready.

I'm pretty good. Working my poor Dh like a dog - poor guy - no rest for the weary around here! Feeling good, but the constant peeing is annoying and the hip pain can make sleeping tough. I have an appt on Weds, not sure if I will have an internal or not - it's up to me and I am undecided. 

How about you?

It sounds like your DH is being a good sport!  My DH painted our little girl's bathroom this weekend, I am sure there were a million other things he would have rather done on a Saturday but he was great about it and it feels good to have it done.  I am doing well, I have days where I fatigue extremely easy and some days I can't seem to sleep at night at all for the same reasons as you, peeing and hip pain.  Are you all done with your Christmas shopping?  I am hoping to have that done by this weekend.  I think we need one more weekend to get everything we want done then she is more than welcome to make an entrance!  You will have to let us know how your next appointment goes!

I think that's pretty common (if this is your first.) I've heard first time your cervix typically stays pretty closed until right before labor. It happened quickly with my first. It's frustrating though.

You know - you just NEVER know what's going to happen. But if you are in it for the long haul - you'll be in good company.  I have a feeling that nothing is going on with me either
