Target Up & Up and Enfamil

My pedi recommended we switch DD to Enfamil Gentlease. Target's Up & Up brand was identical so I bought that, however, Enfamil is going to send me samples of theirs. Has anyone alternated between off-brand and namebrand even when they are pretty much the exact same formula?

Re: Target Up & Up and Enfamil

  • We just switched our LO from Enfamil to the Target Up & Up. Other than the formula smell being worse, she did really well switching. We still have some formula in a travel container that we use when we go out and she didn't seem to have a problem. Hopefully she won't be picky...GL
  • I've gone back and forth (to finish a can of Enfamil) with no problem.  The Enfamil stinks compared to the Up&Up, in my opinion.  It's gross!

  • I do. We use Target Up and Up powder, but my Step-mom gets us cases of Similac Advance with Early Shield RTF for free from her work. DD doesn't have any issues with switching back and forth. If we are at home we use the powder but on days she goes to work with me or we go out somewhere she gets the RTF Similac.
  • I mix it and we have had no problems with mixing.

  • We used Gentlease too but switched to the Sam's Club version because we could get it cheap and in a HUGE can.  My parents keep a small can of Enfamil at their house and we have switched back and forth without any issues.  My ped is fine with it too.
