I am lurking, but I thought I'd share my idea--

im sure others have done it too but as my ds is turning one I started thinking about before he was born and how I wrote a letter to him about all the things I was excited about, and my hopes and dreams for him. I then wrote another at 6-7 months old, and I will write one more before he turns a year. Each year around his bday I plan on doing this and keeping them in his keepsake box. One day I will let him read them all. I figure it wouldve been nice to read how my parents felt before I was born and each year as they grew as parents to know how they felt about me and in general. I think it will be nice for him someday to read when he's an adult.

Just thought I'd share.

I'm doing something similar. DH and I each wrote him a letter very early in my pregnancy.  I plan to write him one every year and give them to him when he starts college (or some other significant time).

Very cute idea. I have been writing letters to him throughout my pregnancy and plan to do it every year. I thought it would be a sweet gift for him when he is a father some day.
