How do you tie your scarf?

I used to do a slip-knot around my neck (sounds dangerous, I know), but I am switching to a full wrap-around with a regular knot in front. I see so many different ways people do it, it seems so strange!

Re: How do you tie your scarf?

  • I don't know how to describe it...I take it and fold it in half around my neck, then loop the two ends through and tighten as necessary.

    Does that make any sense?

  • I am the same as you, used to do a slip knot and now I wrap it around and tie it in the front.

  • I do it both ways. It just depends on my mood when I out on my scarf :)

Yep. This is the slip knot technique I was describing, I think!

  • I do the same with a regular winter scarf. Every once in a while i'll wear a tight silk scarf. I'm so bad at folding/tying things...I went online and found directions for different types with pictures, and still only manged to pull off one!

  • for me it depends on the length of the scarf. it's it's uber long i'll do the slip knot, but if it's shorter i'll tie it.
