we have a bag of newborns, a bag of size 1, and a bag of size 2. Didn't wanna buy too many of one size without having any clue of how long he'll be in each - especially newborn! I think we're gonna like the pampers swaddlers - at least I hope so, since that's all we've gotten!
I love Pampers Swaddlers. When DS was little, I also tried Huggies but they leaked around the legs. In my experience, LO's move out of the NB size fast, so I wouldn't buy too many of those.
We are planning on using Pampers. We have used pampers for both of our other kids and have been happy with them... We have a small pack of newborn and a pack of 86 newborn(haven't opened yet just in case we don't need them) and then a box of size 1 and a pack of size 2.

Im wondering How many newborn diapers to get because i heard thy grow out of them fast. This assuming i make it to full term:(
I have a few small packs of newborn pamers swaddlers and I think another small pack of size 1's.
When DD was born the only ones I really liked were the pampers swaddlers. She was born at 8 pounds and was in newborn size for I think at least 2 months.

I have four packages of Newborn Diapers - I didn't open the packages, though, so that if they don't end up fitting little one, I can exchange them for the correct size.
I plan on buying Luvs through Amazon - You can get a box of 260 for $38.99 on Amazon with free-shipping.
I haven't bought a box from them yet but I think I will in January (due early Feb) and I'll pick up a box of Size 1.
I'm just kind of expecting to have a big baby - DH and I were both large babies.
We wanted to cloth diaper but received 4 packs of disposables as gifts. 1 NB, 2 #1s and 1 #2s. I figure we will use those up and then either switch to cloth or I have heard good things about the Target brand "Up and Up".
Love love love love love Pampers. That's all I use on DS and will use on LO. They smell good coming out of the package (not going into the trash) and they don't leak!

I am just buying one box of size 1. I want to CD but I want to have some disposables on hand just in case I can't hack it. I know the hospital will send us home with a pack of newborns so I didn't buy any.
a lot of people have advised us to use pamper swaddlers for baby and huggies for when they start crawling/walking
I bought 4 cases of newborn diapers. I am pretty sure my birth center won't give me any, and nb supposedly goes through 10 diapers a day, which means the 4 cases will last me about 1 month. I use diapers.com and find good deals on babycheapskate also
I am also planning on cloth diapering. I bought a few bumkins from Costco.com ($74.99 for 6), but am thinking about trying out making my own. I found quite a few free pattens online and am going to experiment with the different types until we know what we like best.
DS grew out of NBs and size 1s very fast- and we had gotten a ton as gifts. We ended up having to give a bunch away b/c he outgrew them faster then we could use them. I would only buy a little at a time and go from there. And I love diapers.com- we live in the city and that is my go-to site for diapers, formula, etc.
My DH is a girls High School Coach and the Booster club is throwing us a Diapers and Wipers shower next Sunday so I think we will have enough diapers for a while. The invite asked for any size diapers.

Before William was born I got 3 packs of NBs and 3 packs of 1s and a shiitload of 2s. I've used up the NBs and have started on the 1s because William is a whopping 9 1/2lbs at almost 3 weeks lol.
I have disposibles up to size 3 and I've already have about 12 newborn sized cloth and 6 one sizes. I still need to get wet bags and a few more cloth diapers.
We bought two packs of size 1 Nature Babycare but will CD at home. I have a small stash of AIOs and plan to use a diaper service with prefolds for a month of two while I figure out what I like.

I didnt stock up because who knows what he'll be allergic to (or have whatever problems with). I have some on hand of a few different kinds, but Im trying to wait to make sure he is OK with a certain brand before stocking up. (Same goes for wipes)

We buy wipes from costco.
We've got like 180 something count of size 1 pampers swaddlers - but plan to switch to cloth diapers as soon as her little system regulates a bit.
We're using a combination of prefolds with covers/gdiapers/fuzzibunz & bumgenuis -
I've bought a little of each to determine what works best for us.

Just an FYI - diapers are cheaper at Sams Club than Diaper.com. With the exception of the 1st purchase where they give you $10 off.
Pampers Swaddlers sz 1-2
DIapers.com - 234 diapers for $41.99 ($39.99 today, but not usually)
Sams Club - 234 diapers for $37.98
