3rd Trimester

are boys really more difficult...

in utero?!

I sometimes feel like because this is baby 3, things are just going to come smooth and natural....but this is my first boy!

Re: are boys really more difficult...

  • I have never heard that.  I'm having a boy- no complaints so far.

  • Well...I have a boy and he was more difficult "in-utero" than this little girl has been.  I'm hoping that carries over a bit into real-life too!  I don't know if I can handle 2 with as much spunk as he has!

    same here!!

  • I really don't know. I know this lil boy is always between being sideways and being head down (i think). Hopefully he won't be breech.

What do you mean when you say he was more difficult??

  • My son was a breeze. This little girl is kicking my @ss. She feels bigger, gives me more heartburn, is harder on my bladder, and is lodged way higher up in my lungs than DS ever was.

I haven't gone through labor yet, though, so no idea in that department!

  • I don't think so, not at all. ?DS was much more chill in utero- DD is kicking me all night long and I've just been generally more achy this time around. ?The aches are probably from carrying a 15 month old around while pregnant, though. ?;)

And then people say baby boys are more difficult- LOL. ?DS was about the easiest baby in history. ?I have a feeling DD will show us what's up.?

OMG. This 100 times over. DS was so chill. He just dealt with whatever happened. SO laid back. He fell asleep in his bath every night from the first night I brought him home. Never cried when his diaper was wet.

I'm terrified of DD, lol. I have always been of the mindset that God gives you your "easy" child first so you'll want to have another. If your first is a challenge you would never have two, lol

He caused a LOT of pain.  I've had sciatica with both, but his was worse.  I had terrible indigestion with him (couldn't take but 2-3 bites, wait for a burp, take a few more bits) for most of my pregnancy.  He was really high in my ribs and was heads up, so every time I laughed or took a big breath, his head poked my ribs - OMG did that hurt.  It actually pulled a muscle between 2 ribs.  I HATED being pg.  I don't like it now, and this pregnancy hasn't been a breeze, but it has not been as bad.

  • hmm..  my son was very active, rolling alot etc.  He was active after birth too, not sttn early etc.

my first daughter was a breeze, just laid there and chilled both in and out of womb.  (She is a moody teen now, but that doesn't count).

Second daughter is a roller, kicker, up all night baby in womb.  I am interested to see what kind of out baby she will be lol.

  • This is my third boy, and they've all been quite different. My first was a mover, and we had a few minor complications. My second was a breeze. Very relaxed in-utero, no complications. This one, we've had no complications, but this pregnancy has been hard. He is very active, said to be big (we'll see), and has made me so, so, so sick. No complications at all, just have not felt good for one day this whole time.

So, I think it just varies : )
