Wonder Pets Xmas DVD (I let him watch during breathing treatments and looong weekend days).
2 small board books
Playdoh
One idea is at Buy Buy Baby on the front end shelves (in front of the registers) they have lots of cool things. 2 of Marino's favorites: the plastic boats (for the bath) and the soft cars (they have a perfect grip) and the ducks/swans on wheels. Also, a snack trap if you don't already have one.
He also likes the tiny Tonka cars (I give them to him to play with in his high chair when he's waiting to eat). They have those at Target.
If you don't already have one, a pinwheel (You'll have to help him use it but Marino LOVES his). They have them for $1 at Target.
Target also sells the big Crayola crayons with the plastic animals on the bottom. He may not use them correctly yet, but within a few months he probably will.
Play food.
A teether for molars (they sell them at BBB).
Stacking cups are awesome. Those would be in my top 5 best toy purchases for Marino so far. He still plays with them all the time, still (and chews on them).
Last year my kiddos got socks, a few little toy cars and airplanes, one got a Bob Marley CD (they LOVE the reggae rhythm), and a Baby Signing Time DVD. The Baby Signing Time was probably the favorite out of everything.
Re: Stocking stuffer ideas
Puffs/Cheerios
Socks (boring, but they fill the stocking nicely!)
CD of kid's music
small books
Bubbles (the bubbles sold at Gymboree are the best!! $6 I think)
Mittens
Traditional (every year) items:
An orange (which he can actually eat this year! LOL)
Hot Wheels car (DH always got one and wanted to continue it)
A silver dollar (I have a specific one that was my grandfather's; I'll buy it back from Max for a paper dollar when he's old enough to care!)
A scratcher lottery ticket (another thing DH always got in his)
A new toothbrush
Cute socks
Specific for this year:
Mini cup of Cheerios
a couple pieces of chocolate
Jungle Book DVD
