Jackson was born December 2 at 5 lbs 6 oz and 19 inches long!
I had BH a lot days before and woke up at 2 am December 2nd with lower back pain and some contractions. ?They were not very painful so I tried to fall back asleep. ?At 5 am, I started timing them and they were about 5 minutes apart and lasting about a minute each. ?So I called the doctor at 6 and they told me to make my way in to get checked whenever I could. ?I got there at about 7 and was being monitored. ?The contractions were there but really mild and some were not finishing completely before starting into the next one. So they assumed I would get sent home in a little while. ?The doctor came and I was only fingertip dilated and 90% effaced. ?They wanted to monitor for a little bit longer and while we were there, baby's heart rate dropped quickly and went back up. ?The nurse said she didn't like that so called the doctor back in. ?After watching it for about another hour and noticing that his heartrate would drop after each contraction, they decided we would probably have to have a c-section. ?
They moved really quickly at this time because they knew if he was having problems with the contractions all ready. ?He would not be able to handle labor when it was only in the very beginning right then. ?At 9:30 they decided we would definitely be having him and by 10:00, I was being wheeled into the OR. ?He was born at 10:30. ?
They realized that his cord was wrapped around his neck twice but they think the real issue was that the placenta was smaller than it should be. ?They sent it in to get checked out but not sure why yet. ?(Has anyone heard of a small placenta?)
Although he was only born 5 days before EDD, he is very small but overall healthy. While the c-section was not part of my plan, it was the best way to do things at the time and I got to skip on the hard part of labor. ?Good luck everyone!?

Re: Baby Jackson is here!
Congrats on your gorgeous littl boy!
I'm trying to keep in mind that my birth plan is just that, a plan. And plans sometimes need to be changed.
