So, my sweet angel Bernadette Grace "B.B"arrived Monday, November 30, at 2:56pm.. She's 6 lbs, 8 oz and 19 inches long... at 38 wks, 6 days.

So... whoever remembers the full moon discussion Sunday night.. I think it had something to do with it.  It was approaching on Monday night....  I was sleeping and dreaming of how much she was kicking.. in my dream I was telling someone.. "look at how active she is...".. and then I woke up and felt that "POP"... it was my water at 2am, we arrived at hospital 3:30am, was given pitocin at 8am, an epi by 9am.. epi tubes popped apart twice, the first time they fixed it, but second time, they couldn't!!!  Real pushing started at 1pm and she was born right before 3pm, yeah.. without epi!!  Was a rough delivery, she did some major damage down below, (according to the doctor she "blew out my vagina!").. Apparently, I had some varicose veins down there that I didn't know about which burst and tore the muscles apart, plus a level 3 tear (even with an episiotomy) ... she had the cord around her neck, her initial APGAR was 3 and then 7 so she was in NICU for a few days.  We both came home last night. They let me stay an extra night.. after approval from insurance..

I have to say.. even though it sounds so cliche.. that all of the pain was so worth it.. She's an angel.... So incredibly sweet and beautiful.  Some of you may remember that she's named for my mom, who passed away 6 years ago next week... SHE HAS MY MOM'S FACE!!!  Especially the EYES.. I feel as though I'm looking at a miniature version of my mom!!!  (I look alot like my mom, but it is freaky how much the baby looks like her!!!) That's all people say!!!   Wish I could figure out how to post photos.. she's a beauty!  Don't have time for much since  my milk is finally coming in and I'm BFing...
