I am feeling a little guilty. Having multiples is a full time job. They definitely keep us on our toes right? Anyways last week I was at the hospital for the babies' synagis shots and the nurse asked if we had made hand and foot prints yet. I said "no" and she kinda looked at me funny, and said that's something I should do because it's such a nice keepsake and to do it before they get too big and I'll regret it.
It made me think. I am so busy with the everyday things of caring for the babies that I'm missing out on the sentimental things because I just don't have time. And when I do have some time to myself I try to take a nap because I'm exhausted. Does anyone else feel like this? And if you do have time for those things how do you fit it in? Thanks ladies! ![]()
Re: Too busy!
Don't worry...you are totally normal and if anything, you shoulda given the nurse a funny look (not the other way around).
I hear ya about feeling a bit guilty and not feeling like i have the time to do anything other than... function!! I've heard it gets better with time, so let's hope that's true...and in the meantime, pat yourself on the back (or better yet catch a cat nap!) on doing a great job as a super MoM!!
I've been trying to just take pics as much as possible and have been setting sentimental stuff aside (pretending that I'll get the time to miraculously do something with all of it...ha!). If it gets done, great, if not...I tried...
Keep taking the naps and don't stress about the other stuff. You are doing what's most important--taking care of your LOs!!
Hang in there and know you are not alone!!
footprints?? you gotta be kidding. look, it'd be lovely, but don't feel guilty! i bought scrapbooking stuff because i was going to make a baby book for the boys, but two years later, everything is still unopened.
napping IS more important. just try to take lots of pictures and video. that's what i did.
