I forgot how cold I get in the winter with cold feet and then getting into a freezing bed. We keep our heat pretty low at night and I had to break out the flannel pj's, sweat shirt and socks, plus I have been drinking hot cocoa at night. DH is warm natured and so he is always hot, we rotate blankets through the year, light, medium and heavy and right now we are using the medium one because he was too hot with the hot one. My issue is when I get into bed with all those clothes on I wake up in the middle of the night freezing.
EDIT-I meant to say I wake up sweating not freezing, so I am at loss of what to wear! I have to take everything off.
Re: What do you wear to bed?
I have given up on my heating bill this year. If it is too cold Ben wakes up every single hour so we keep it comfortable for him which happens to also be pretty comfortable for me. DH just kicks off the blankets if he gets too warm, he just wants us to be comfortable so that we might get some sleep at night.
It seems to get hotter upstairs throughout the night since it is getting colder downstairs which makes the thermostat kick on, so I go downstairs about twice a night and turn the heat down lower each time to keep it warm but not hot upstairs. Man, the thought of all that I do while most people sleep is exhausting.

we keep it pretty cool at night too but i'm the opposite - i've been waking up sweating so it can't be cool enough for me. so i sleep in a nursing tank and underwear. and i still wake up sweating! and poor dh has resorted to sleeping practically clothed lol. so i guess i'm not much help.
have you tried thermal underwear? maybe that would keep you warmer than flannel? or maybe layer the two together.
Complete ditto.
Ditto this entirely! I was just reading this thinking, "Doesn't anyone else sleep in the nude?!"
A t-shirt and capri PJ pants..Back in my skinnier days I used to just sleep in just undies, but these days I guess I prefer to cover up as much as possible..hehe.
We have an electric mattress pad, and it is heavenly to get into a warm bed since we keep our heat pretty low. It is dual zone, so if one of us doesn't want it heated, it doesn't have to be. LOVE that thing.
