Can you imagine having to make a statement about this to the public??! I can't.
I would have kept my mouth shut if I were him --- he owes the public NOTHING!
And, in addition, he now sounds like a total idiot b/c he is ONLY sorry that he got caught.
it sucks, but that's what happens when you're in the spotlight. He quite possibly has a morality clause in all of those endorsement deals-so he owes those people who are paying big $$$ for a certain image something.

I think he's apologizing to the public in an effort to make amends with his wife. Some stripper from Vegas has shared the voicemails and texts between them with US Weekly. You can actually hear the frantic message he left for his mistress on their website.
I think its sad (not for him, but for who he represented) He was the one celebrity that seemed like a standup guy. Always seemed polite, great husband, great father, and now that image is ruined. He kept himself out of the spotlight and tabloids. But now they are saying he started his first affair when his wife was 8-9 months pg with their first child. His reputation is ruined.
How can you be so stupid? How can you think you'll never get caught? When you're that famous and have that much money, you have to know someone is going to sell you out at some point.
He should have 'Lettermaned-up' immediately. Then all of this digging and unravelling would be redundant. I don't care what he did, and I am a golf fan (though not a fan of Tiger).
I am not surprised. They will divorce in 2 years.
promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
