Has anyone gotten their child the H1N1 shot? It is being offered at my son's school (6 yrs old) and not sure if he should get it. I got him the flu mist last month only b/c I have a 5 mth at home.
ehh, Ethan (4.5 y.o.) had them available at school too and I opted out....
My 1.5 y.o. got his H1N1 shot at the pedi... they kept recommending it for him... he's constantly sick and always coughing... so we got it. We need to go back for the second dose...
NJ required all school/daycare kids to have regular flu vax, so I had to get that for Ethan... and yesterday I got a letter from school saying that it's no longer required, WTF?
I'm actually home from work today to take dd to get hers. In my area of Massachusetts it is so scarce that you have to take the appointment when they give it, meaning I had to take today off from work. I teach so I can't just take an hour or two. I'm still waiting for my vaccine and I will get it when it is available. They haven't even started the school clinics yet.
DD got the H1N1 mist mid-Nov through our county clinic. She got the seasonal shot yesterday at the pedi's office. Pedi is not scheduling booster shots for the H1N1 until they get through the first round. I would get him the shot if it's available, but I'm very pro-vaccine in general.

Re: H1N1 Shot
This, exactly. I would absolutely get it with an infant in the home!
