What do you think of the name Brooks for baby boy #2?

Our top names are Cole Robert and Brooks David...we have a long two syllable last name so shorter names are better....

I cannot decide at all. nor can hubby.

I would like to know his name before he arrives, but i'm thinking this may be one of those 'i have to see his face to know his name' situations. With my first son, Reid, we just KNEW his name, so this is a new feeling to me...

?

Would love your opinions/thoughts on the name Brooks- ?

I have always loved that name but could not name our son that because my husband used to work for Brooks Running. Love it!!

Hmm. In theory I like it, but I can't help but think this is the name of a very preppy, boarding school kid. Yet I like it. I know, it makes no sense!

Love it.  It is one of my favorite boys names.  It's preppy/cool but not stuffy.

It is one of my favorite boy names but Brooks Bryson sounds too sing-songy.

I really like Cole too.  Well, I have a Colton so not too far off.

I think it is a great name, but I'm also a fan of waiting to see the baby before making a final decision.  I'm glad we were not set on a name.

I really like it.  I loved the character in Shawshank Redemption named Brooks - they called him Brooksie as a pet name - and yes, I realize it was a prison movie and he came to a terrible end! - but I still love the name.

I like the name Brooks but I love the name Cole.  It was on my list for Noah until DH vetoed it.

I really like it. I dated a Brooks in College. He was from Screven Ga. Very southern gentleman. Very small town. Not CC at all.
