Our first shiner...

Well, I guess it's not a real black eye. It could definitely be worse!

Holly fell at school today. She was standing up beside some kind of wooden toy and fell face first on it. It scared her, but she seems to be fine. I took her to the Dr since it was so close to her eye, and was swollen at first. But, it's just a nasty bruise, and it should go away in a couple of weeks.

So much for our Christmas pictures! Maybe we'll use this as an opportunity to see how good DH really is at Photoshop!

Re: Our first shiner...

  • Maybe we can get you a nice hat to hide it? ;) j/k You can totally just photograph her "good side" for pics.

Aww, it's not too bad...I was expecting a lot worse w/ your post title!! poor Holly. I bet that was scary!

  • They love to get shiners around the holiday's don't they? I'm glad she is ok and hopefully it will not turn black and blue too bad!

  • Oh no, poor Holly! It's crazy how often they get hurt once they are really mobile. The bruises make me so sad!

  • Poor thing! Glad it wasn't any worse.
  • Poor little Holly! It doesn't look too bad, I hope it heals quickly for her.

  • I think it's just Holly's way of communicating to you that she wants to get a teardrop tattooed there.

If it makes you feel any better North has started pulling up on everything and has therefore started falling pretty much constantly.  He looks like he got in a fight with the cat.  I'm afraid to take him out in public for fear of some looney with CPS on speed dial.

  • Poor Holly! I'm sorry that she hurt herself, but at least she'll have a cool story for the playground!

  • Oh No! Glad she is ok though, that one looks like a doozy!
  • I'm glad she's okay!  We had to have Allan's Christmas/6 month pictures edited because he scratched his face pretty much as we were walking out the door to get the pictures made!  Kids - they have impeccable timing!
  • Ugh, that looks like it hurt.  Hope she feels better soon.  I still remember Kylie's first big bruise - she was about Holly's age!
