I love Ella's name - I really feel like it fits her. I try to imagine her with other names we considered, but I'm really glad we ended up with Ella Beth!
I am. She was going to be Isabella for the majority of my pregnancy and I started to doubt it by the end and DH finally agreed to Sarah when I was in labor. Good thing, too. She doesn't look or act like an Isabella, IMO.

Nope. I wanted Danielle, but DH didn't want "the female version of his name" as he puts it. I still can't see her as "Olivia". It just doesn't fit. I call her Little Bean, or Munchkin, mostly. I just can't call her Olivia.
Well, we have a nickname for our DS, "Pup/Puppy," and we call him that every single day.
The problem is, he looks when you say his nickname and not his actual name...yeah...I joke with people and day that one day will come and ask him his name, and he'll say "Puppy."
Yep, fits her to a T. And I agree with Geek, Sarah looks like a Sarah.
Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months.
Yes, and we just received her first MADELINE book in the mail yesterday from a friend, and I started getting emotional thinking about how fun it will be for her to see her name in the books when she's a little bigger.
I like her name, but I'm not so sure it fits her. The Kate part does, but I'm not sure about the Emma. Emma seems so calm to me, and that's not her. My first choice was Sophie, but my brother and his wife named their DD that when I mentioned my favorite name. I don't really blame them, as I never thought I'd be having any more kids at the time. Still, I might have liked Sophie better.
The sad part is that Emma was my part of her name. I'm starting to think she's more of a Katie, but then I think she needs something more. I love Kate for when she is grown.

Yeah we got a bunch of "Olivia" books when she was born. Too bad Olivia in the books is a friggin PIG.
I love DS's name. He looks like a Jackson to me. I really wanted to name him Brody but, DH didn't like it. After he was born, I told DH that I was glad he didn't like it because he didn't look like a Brody!
YES!!!!!!!!!! I love her name. As soon as I heard the name, I decided when we have a girl, that would be the name. DH is Mexican and I wanted a hispanic name, but I wanted something uncommon. I was teaching in Chicago for my SIL and when I was doing homeroom roll call, I came across the name. I loved it instantly, and told the girl as well. Luckily, after getting to know her, she was the nicest girl. I can't imagine her w/a different name. Although, with her middle name and our last name, she's got a mouthful to say and spell!
I like the name Jude, I think it fits him okay, but I often think he's more of a Teddy than a Jude. Right when he was born, he had tiny delicate features, and that seemed much more Jude than Teddy. Then he rounded out, and got a cute button nose....
Shane was almost "Christian" I decided on Shane the minute I found out I was pregnant and 2 days before he was born I got stuck on Christian for some reason, lol. I'm glad I didn't name him that, Shane fits him much better. We'll save the other name for the next baby.

Yes, I love it. His name is Colin Grant -- Colin after a very dear friend of ours who passed away, and Grant after my dad.
It took us a little while to get used to calling him Colin (it was hard to adjust since we called his namesake that, and b/c we missed "Big Colin" so much), so we called him by his nickname for a while, but we are used to it now.
I have always liked the names Colin and Grant anyway, and now we can tell him about the wonderful men we named him for.
It also makes us smile b/c "Big Colin" was a big blue-eyed blonde, and our Colin is also.
I like DD's first name, but I'm not so sure about her middle name (Brianne). I think Elise Brianne goes well, but I just have no clue why I picked that name. Plus, DH admitted- after the fact- that he thought Brianne was a little "redneckish" (no offense to anyone and I have no idea why he said that) so that always sticks with me.
DH hated all boy names that are not his own, so squishy is Coleman Jr. (though he has different middle names).
I can't call him that. He's always Squishy, the dude, the boy, etc. DH's whole family calls him Coleman, my Mom calls him C.J., which DH and I BOTH told her not to do because we hate it, and DH calls him son.
Kendall fits her name perfectly. I was thrilled when DH was on board with her name too as its the only name I had truly loved. We are not planning on any more children but if we do we will name it one of his favorite names-either Jonathan or Caitlyn.

Yes. We didn't name DS until he was a day old. We both fell in love with his first name right away. DH loved his middle name, but I wasn't so sure about it. I mainly just agreed because I was tired and didn't want to talk about it anymore. But now I love it and he is definitely an Isaac Orion.
We agreed on Nathan for our first and I can't imagine him being named anything else:)
For our second, I REALLY wanted Liam, but my husband hated it and wouldn't budge. So last minute I suggested Colin, and he loved it! Now, I totally think he's a Colin. But I still would like to use Liam if we have a third boy. I am trying to butter H up to get it on our list of potential names.
I didn't really like LO's name when he first came home but I think it was because all through my pg he was referred to as "the baby" because we didn't find out boy/girl. Now, I love it and think he definitely looks like a Zane.
Re: Are you happy with your LO's name?
