Love the new (you're changing up on me too quick!) sig pics! He is so adorable. Seriously.
That second one, it's like he's thinking, "Hmm, this candy cane or this one?" Hard decision. 
I've got to attempt a light pic like your first one too. How did you achieve it??

Oh, man I'm not even sure anymore. I just plopped him down on a dark sheet that I draped over the loveseat and onto the floor and started snapping away. I got MAYBE 3 decent shots with lights, out of about 50. He kept trying to walk away, so DH had to keep corraling him back on the sheet. Hopefully your guys won't try to move away as fast!
