Re: Poll: Holiday Music
I love "I'll Be Home For Christmas" it always makes me teary! I also love the Trasn-Siberian Orchestra Nutcracker Suite.
I like singing all of them.
A funny story - every time I get into DH's (who is Jewish) car, he has the Christmas station on his satellite radio. I think it's so funny!
Oh! There is a song that always makes me laugh:
Let it Snow.
When I was in high school, i was in the choir. And a few girls and I would change the lyrics of the song during concerts and school shows (I wonder if everyone ever picked it out...)
Instead of "and I brought some corn for popping, since we've no place to go, Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!..." we would sing "And I brought some porn for watching. Now there's no place to goooo, she's a ho, she's a ho, she's a ho!" LOL I find myself singing that in front of Abby and have to catch my tongue!
LOL! Leanna, that is so funny. You have so rubbed off on him.
yeah, the worst part is that most of the time, we would sing these carols in the chapel during mass on Fridays (we went to catholic hs LOL)
You have no idea! The first year we lived together, he didn't want us to put out any lights outside, the next year, just white lights, the year after that, a few light up christmas trees, but white lights only, and a few candy canes - this year it's like a christmas village!! 2 inflatables - a tree and a snowman, candy canes, a wood sign, a lighted wreath, AND lights!!
My favorite to listen to is also Carol of the Bells! I like the Transiberian Orchestra version best but really any is awesome
To sing to is probably Rudolph LOL

Then, last Christmas I discovered a version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlement/We Three Kings by Barenaked Ladies featuring Sarah McLachlan that is AMAZING, so I've been playing that all the time. And the other one I have been hitting on repeat a lot is Please Come Home For Christmas by the Eagles...so romantic
