rec your smoker

I think i am getting tony a smoker for christmas.  I was going to wait til fathers day, but he swooned over his brothers at home and the smoked prime rib we had...  

so if you've got one, what do you have, how much did it set you back (I dont want to spend a fortune considering we just bought a new dining set)  and what accessories would you include?  chips etc etc....

I'll have to ask DH when he comes home.... he has a "fund" for a smoker for himself. The best kind is the kind that looks like a safe.  He swoons at them at Cabela's and the like.  They run around 300-500 though.
