Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

I have some friends I didn't know I had...

I announced my PG on FB, so naturally I had to announce my M/C on FB.  People that were my "friends" but not really-you know the people you knew in HS but haven't really talked to in 10 years-have been the most amazing at reaching out to me, while the people I see every day are just stuck for words.  It has actually helped a lot to get random messages from people saying they are thinking of me.

  • The same thing happened to me! I had posted on there about going in for our big u/s so when I didnt post what the gender was the entire day people kept hounding me, and I finally had the courage to write that I had lost the baby, and so many people that I dont speak to on a regular basis at all came out and offered the greatest words of comfort. I guess it's just the way life goes. At least we have those people when we least expect it.

  • This actually doesn't surprise me at all. You really don't know people until you go through something rough. I'm glad you had a lot of people to offer you comfort.

  • Same thing happened to me.  I didn't announce my PG on FB because we only knew for 4 days before we found out it was an ectopic, but DH posted about my surgery on FB and just reading all the wonderful messages has really helped alot, even though so many of them are from people I rarely see.
