Hi! I thought I would start a new post over here since the other one was moving to pg 2.
Like your new profile pic btw!:)
I'm glad you are POASing waiting 2.5 weeks is tortuous. I guess I understand why he does that but still! Your DH may change his mind later about gender, but if he doesn't that will be fun waiting. I just could never have I'm too impatient! Plus I have had 10 million sonos so I'm sure it would be hard to hide!
Now don't get down about your one follie you never know. IF is such a crazy journey and people have incredible things happen! Now on the flip side if it doesn't happen don't get too discouraged. After my first failed IUI I was a mess and very very depressed. You WILL have your baby just don't forget that. You don't know how or have control over how, but you will be a parent!!! Just keep telling yourself that! I have great hope for this cycle and your new RE!!
I hear you on the coffee thing I drank it every day from 3rd grade on and it was so difficult to give up! My RE strongly encourages no drinking of alcohol or caffeine during IVF so I stopped when we did that. I let myself have decaf in the 2nd tri as a reward and it is wonderful! I just missed that hot cup in the morning and tea does not cut it!!!!
I am on very modified bed rest now. I was on complete then modified, now just can't work or drive (they worry teaching is too stressful). It is from the surgery and enlarged cystic ovary. It has shrank which is why some restrictions have been lifted:).
I am not too bored because I have been making Christmas presents. I learned to knit so I made wine bottle covers like cozys and we bought wine to put in the them obvi. Then I made gingerbread cookie mix in jars and tied a cookie cutter to them. I made hot cocoa with peppermint. I made christmas CDs for everyone and used old xmas cards to decorate covers. I made hats and scarves and obviously all the christmas cards. Now after christmas we will see if i get bored! It is so cool that you do beading projects! I would love to see some!
I hope you are feeling better soon and that your injection helps! Keep me updated on 2ww symptoms!
Re: ***thebeadinglady***
I do think not learning the sex of the baby would be fun, you know having that moment at the birth where's you hear it's a boy! or girl! It sounds cool, but I am such an impatient person and I like to plan so much, I know it would kill me a little not to know. but, DH has been so great through this whole thing I felt like this was his way exerting some control over a tough situation. I also agreed, in a moment of weakness, that if we ever happen to have twin boys he can name then Tomax and Xamot. I guess they are characters from the GI Joe comic books? I know I will live to regret that someday. I would not put it past the fates to give us twins just to mess with me.
So you learned how to knit since yo have been on bedrest? Impressive! I have been trying to teach myself for year, and I got a good basic stitch down. But I can only go in straight lines, like for a scarf, and I have never figured out how to cast off. I do love making jewelry, but it is a very expensive hobby. all my hobbies have a downside. Jewelry = expensive baking = expansive waistline, and home renovating = exhausted DH. I will post pics of the peices I make for my mom and my holiday elf when they are done. You have been a very busy bee, you have to PIP pics of the wine cozies. My parents are huge wine collectors, so I would love to see them.
Can I just say I am so glad we met on here. It is nice talking to someone else with Crohn's who has blazed the trail ahead of me. All the girls on here are awesome.
Well keep me updated on all the latest with the baby!
OMG I HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE TWIN BOYS NOW LOL! Those are horrible names!!!! DH may change his mind once he is in the sono room too. My DH said after he was in there there was no way he couldn't have found out!
I am shocked I figured out how to knit. I have been using basic internet patterns and to be honest how I learned new stitches was U tube!!!! You can watch them over and over and practice until you have it! The casting off is actually very easy once you get the 'movement' down.

This above is the link I used to make the wine cozys. Although I varied the pattern and made some with flowers some with vines and some with just randomness on them. They were very easy and fun to make. I modified the one stitch b/c I couldn't figure it out and it turned out great! I wish I could post pictures of the ones I made but I already wrapped them (I know i know I am NUTS!). It would be something you could learn to make for next year though srsly if I can do it anyone can!
Beading is so cool though I didn't know it was expensive but I guess that makes sense. I love to cook and bake too.
I am glad we met too! Crohn's is such a rare thing and very gross! it's nice to know someone else who deals with it and IF. I love the IF board. I spent every waking minute it seemed on there and all my stories for DH were about the people on there. I think I would have lost my mind with out it!
TTYS!
