clomid vs.gonal-f

I was on clomid, but after the side effects of 200mg were too much, I requested a different med and they put me on injectibles (gonal-f)

just wondering about anyone's experiences.. differences in side effects?

I have been wondering this too. ?My 4th round of Clomid 50mg side effects were horrible. ?They have not mentioned gonal F to me though. ?Thanks for asking the question. ?I am waiting for responses!

For an IUI cycle, I had no side effects while on injects.  For IVF, I have some but it is due to the fact that I am on really high doses.

i had much less side effects on follistim (same thing as gonal-f but different brand name) than i ever did on clomid. no hot flashes, no clomid crazies.

I'm currently taking Gonal-F injections and haven't had any side effects.  The only thing my nurse said is it could take a little longer for the follicles to respond.

I was on follistim and I had none of the side effects that I got on clomid.

I had weight gain, moodiness and just felt blah on clomid.  As soon as I switched to follistim I lost the weight and wasn't moody anymore!

I did 3 clomid cycles and just finished my 2nd gonal f cycle.

No side effects from gonal f, I responded much quicker and didn't have a thinned lining (which clomid gave me)
