Name your perfume

Hi girls,

with the holidays coming up, people ask me for present ideas. I want a new perfume, but am totally lost on what smells good. When you go in a store there must be over 100 bottles and I don't know where to begin...so, what's your perfume and how does it smell, maybe I can use it as inspiration.

Victoria's Secret Strawberries and Champagne.  I LOVE it!

But DH hates perfume so I've stopped wearing it.  But he loves my new shampoo which is Salty Dawg Oh-So-Delicious.  It's got kind of a fruity scent but not perfumy... hard to explain, but it smells REALLY good!

I normally love perfume but lately I can't stomach the smell. The only one I can stand is Rapture by Victoria's Secret. Normally I like Freedom by Tommy Hilfiger, Glow by JLo and Dream Angels by Victoria's Secret.

I like Dream Angels Heavenly from Victoria's Secret. I don't do flowery smells at all.

I like Kenneth Cole Reaction, D&G Light Blue, Nautica Bermuda Blue and Vera Wang Princess.  I am slightly obsessed with perfume and I could spend forever in Sephora smelling every last bottle.

I'm currently wearing Philosophy's Amazing Grace. It is a very feminine floral scent. The other perfume I love is Miss Dior Cherie, it is very girly but not in a flowery way. HTH!

I've been wearing D&G Light Blue for at least 3 years now and love it! It's got a citrusy smell to it. I always gets lots of compliments.

Apparently I wear it so often, it is "my" scent. When people smell it they say it smells like me (not vice versa). haha.

Ok I will go ahead and admit that in my few  months managing an Ulta store I grew quite the perfume collection....here are my favs

Ed Hardy for women - I love it, but I cannot quite explaine it.

Eternity Summer - It smells clean (reminds me of fresh grass and sunshine)

Burberry Brit - this is a heavier more musky scent for winter

Paris Hilton - (yes sadly several of hers are very nice)  I like the original and Heiress.  Can-Can is nice, but it is very sweet.

Victoria Secret Dream Angels Heavenly is another really nice one....

I think that is all for right now....I'll let you know if I come up with any other ones...

I have worn J'adore by Christian Dior exclusively for three years now.  I absolutely love it, and know that I can always count on DH to buy it for me when I run low.

Last year for Christmas my SIL gave me Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel and while it smells great in the bottle it smells horribly on me

Whereas I'm a complete perfume freak, I've been wearing the same few scents for years.

1.  Angel by Thierry Mugler (I'm sickly obsessed with this scent - I even belong to the online "cult" of Angel wearers).

2.  Addict by Christian Dior (again, I'm obsessed with this one too)

3.   The original Bulgari (in the clear/gold bottle)

4.  Samsara by Guerlain

Recently, I've purchased Fancy by Jessica Simpson (love it!) and I bought Bloomie's last bottle of Angel Sun Essence  by Thierry Mugler - I don't know if it'll be released again.

In the past I've purchased, Gucci Rush and Gucci Rush 2, Alien by Thierry Mugler, Fantasy by Britney Spears.  I've always returned back to my two most well-known (for me) scents - Angel and Addict.

My staple perfume since I was 19 is Eau D'Eden by Cacharel. It's a little floral, very fresh, and clean smelling. 

I also love Issey miyaki L'eau D'issey for women.

I've been using Emporio Armani She for like 10 years. It's sweet and Iove it...people actually still stop me on the street, cafeteria, hallway, etc., just to tell me how good I smell and ask me what perfume I'm wearing.

I wear Channel Coco Mademoiselle.  It is my absolute favorite, although I'm thinking of switching to to Gucci perfume that comes in a pink bottle. GL!
