Had my baby!

I'm usually just lurk during work, but I always liked reading about the births during the end so I thought I would post. I will make it short and sweet. We went in on Monday night for induction but after about an hour at the hospital my water broke and I did it all on my own. Epidural was amazing, I only wish I could have gotten it sooner. After trying to push for a little while the dr decided we needed to have a c section because her heart rate kept dropping when I would push. So I was rushed to OR and before I knew it she was here. Surgery was not as bad as I thought it would be. Recovery is what is the hardest. Just wanted to let future momma's know if you are going to breastfeed to be patient and it is work that can be very frustrating. No one told me this until this week, so I had no idea it was going to be a challenge. But now I know it is like this for everyone. Work with your lactation consultant. It made a huge difference and now we are doing well. Hang in there, the reward is worth anything pregnancy can throw at you.

Congrats! Glad to hear everything went as well as can be expected and that you and baby are healthy. Good luck with the continuation of breast feeding. It's one of my biggest worries.
