North Carolina Babies

Officially exhausted.....*yawn*

We drove 3 hours to my uncle's funeral today, were there about 4 hours total including visiting with the family, then drove 3 hours home. Holly did great, but was so exhausted when we got home, she wouldn't take her bottle tonight (which means she'll probably be up again tonight! Ugh). We had drive-thru meals for both lunch and dinner..*barf*

DH ended up taking her outside during the funeral service. There were 2 other babies there (one was my uncle's granddaughter), but I just felt better with her not being the one squawking in the middle of the prayers. She did fine at the graveside service. My aunt was thrilled to see her, so I'm glad we brought her.

But man... I'm beat. Sleep So glad to be home. RIP, "Uncle Pop."

  • I just responded to your post below about this. I am so glad you brought Holly. We brought Ashley to my grandmother's funeral (and wake and graveside service) and I am so glad we did. Everyone commented how happy they were she was there and she was my grandmother's only great grandchild so I know she would have wanted her there. I am so sorry for your loss :(
