For Kid's Sake - King of Prussia

Does anyone have any experience with this daycare?  I think it is the one we are going to go with but I would love to hear some experiences before we make the final decisions.  Thanks

Re: For Kid's Sake - King of Prussia

  • Have you been there yet?~

In my honest opinion- when i toured it (Jan of 2008) i left there in TEARS. And that was the ONLY time i cried my entire pregnancy. The place was so depressing to me. I found that it was dingy, with the infant room in the basement- the workers didn't seem warm and outgoing. none of the babies were being held when i was in there.

I dunno- maybe it has changed since i looked- but that was the ONLY place i totally ruled out right away.

GL with your decision- have you checked out the Malvern School?- that was where my DD would have gone if i didn't decide to SAH

  • I liked their philosophies, however I had 3 MAJOR concerns:

    -  Setup of the building/rooms.  It was all really depressing and dark.

    -  Age of the women working in the infant rooms.  Several of the ladies are over 80 years old. They even admitted that some of the helpers can't lift the older infants or toddlers.  So, what happens in an emergnency?  How do all the children get out safely.

    - Food and Diapering done in the same area with the same sink. Just didn't seem hygenic.

For a little more $, Kindercare just seemed so much brighter, safer, cleaner and happier.
