Anyone Know Anything About Ovarian Volume?

Does your RE read the measurements of your ovary?  Mine does it every time, and it always fluctuates a lot.  Does anyone know what size is normal?  I know volume is related to reserve.  I can't find anything by Googling about what normal parameters are for ovarian volume.  Thanks!

Re: Anyone Know Anything About Ovarian Volume?

  • Mine reads my measurements each time and it definitely fluctuates.  I wasn't paying much attention but i think it seemed to get larger as my follicle got larger.  Also, the size of my uterus is different each time they read it!  What's up with that?

  • I don't really know much about that but I do know that I had half of an ovary removed during a surgery in 2002, but the beginning of this year when they did an ultrasound get my antral follicle count, I still had excellent numbers, even at close to age 40, even with only part of an ovary left.

  • My u/s tech told me that my ovaries sat really high and that my Ute was an odd shape, but said size and shape don't usually have a direct link to getting and staying pregnant unless it is an actual defect.
