  • We had pretty much the same experience - minus the nursing.  DS wouldn't take a bottle but screamed for the last hour of our family get together at DH's uncle's house.  He was just too upset to even take a bottle which has NEVER happened - boy loves to eat.  We left, he cried the whole way home.

Then I put him in his pack and play and turned on his cheap-azz mobile (seriously, it came with the pack and play and doesn't run on batteries, its just a wind up) and he immediately got quiet.  Then he took a bottle and passed out.

I think he's just been overwhelmed lately - on Tuesday we had dinner at our ILs, last night we stayed at my mom's and today we were back and forth all morning and afternoon.

  • very similar to our day as well... after awhile he was just completely overstimulated and so cranky, we got in the car, he zonked out, and now we are home and he is sound asleep with a full belly in his crib! ?

  • I'm sorry. At least your sister will get to see him when she brings over your food.

  • our LO was inconsolable most of the day at DH's family's house.  he finally took a nap in a back bedroom for the last hour we were there...

oh, and when i was changing his diaper, he peed on DH aunt & uncle's bed, on the carpet, on his head, on the outfit i had picked out for our christmas card pics we were going to take, etc.  fun stuff!

  • Sounds like ours.

DS was up from 11am-9pm.  No naps at all.  I think Christmas may just have to be a low-key holiday this year.  Poor little guy is either going to sleep all night or be a crankass all night.

Let's hope for the first one.

  • Same here... DD wasn't cranky, but definitely overstimulated.  She wanted to eat the whole time. She cried for part of the (hour) ride home.  We've been home for 4 hours and she is still wide awake.  I was hoping after her bath and eating (2-3 times) she'd zonk out...
