F/U to my earlier post: my lo fell wwyd...

Took him to emergency, they checked him over fully top to bottom. Said the eyes crossing seems unrelated since everything else checks out fine and he actually didnt do it in front of the dr. (of course) He said to write down all odd symptoms and come back in a few days. He said depending on if it continues or not he may have to get a CT. The dr was wonderful, explained in full detail many reasons why he thought ds was fine, which was much better then the dr I saw on monday. He didnt make me feel like I was wasting his time or that I was making a big deal of nothing. I can sleep so much easier tonight. It was just not something I could chance, even if it was 1 in 1million... With all that went on today on here that nagging feeling in the back of my head would have never gone away.

Re: F/U to my earlier post: my lo fell wwyd...

  • Glad to hear your LO is okay.

Last Friday I was BF my LO and put him on our bed at least 2 feet from the edge, not expecting him to move.  I stepped into our bathroom, which is three feet away, to get a new set of nursing pads and he rolled off the bed.  He rolled up into a little ball as he fell and hit the floor with a sickening thump.  I looked up and saw it was him and lost it completely.  After grabbing him, he started to cry, then looked at me with the big blue eyes.  I cried more than he did, I think.  The thought of doing my precious baby harm undid me.  I still hear that thump.  Thankfully his appointment was less than an hour away.  I told my doc and let her look him over.  He was fine, but I got an @ss chewing for leaving him on the bed!  Point of this:  We all make mistakes or even more often, we don't know where our mistakes will take us.  He hasn't developed any problems from it and that makes me happy.  I am now completely careful with him.

Good luck with your LO and hang in there!
