Going to the pedi at 4pm

Michelle has had a cough now since Friday....its mainly at night very dry non productive cough thats keeping her up at night and Delsym is not working.   She would wake up coughing so hard  and she's sitting up when we go in to check on her and give her a drink.  She's so freaking tired.

We finally called the nurse to see what they suggest and they wanna see her this afternoon.  It could be viral or it could be croup...not sure about the croup thing since it aint a barky cough but she does this squeaky/whimpery kind of noise almost like snoring but its very sqeaky sounding....does this all night long.

I'm going to reply here to see if anyone has any tips for you.  My DS is on week 4 of this very same cough.  It started out croupy the first 3 nights (barking) and now it's just a dry, annoying, hacking cough that will not stop.  Poor DS coughs in his sleep all night...delsym not helping, humidifier, vicks, etc. nothing is helping.  He doesn't seem any worse for wear and has no fever or runny nose, but he has to have a headache from constantly hacking by now...sometimes he coughs til he gags.  I feel awful for him.  We've already been to the pedi and he ruled out bronchitis, H1N1, etc. he just said it would clear up eventually.

thats what I'm afraid they will tell me.  But good lord the kid is not sleeping good & its starting to wear her down.

DS, DD and I all had/have that right now.  DS and DD are fine, I still have it.  I'm on week 4 and it's finally fading out.

The squeaky is probably wheezing.  I've damn near used my inhaler up and I've only had it 2 months LOL  Good luck, hope she's ok !
